Textual definition

One Measure of hurricane strength using The Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Scale refers to central pressure. The National Hurricane Center does not include a definition in its glossary. The center of the hurricane is "Generally speaking, the vertical axis of a tropical cyclone, usually defined by the location of minimum wind or minimum pressure. The cyclone center position can vary with altitude. In advisory products, refers to the center position at the surface." Presumably, the central pressure would be that pressure at the location of minimum wind or minimum pressure.

Suggested parent term

Subclass of

or

SWEET treats them as owl:equivalentClass relations anyway? Not sure if this is correct?

@charlesvardeman a couple of questions here... can we clarify

  1. is the textual definition above exactly what you want encoded in the ontology?
  2. Can you please update the fields as per guidance at https://github.com/ESIPFed/sweet/wiki/SWEET-Class-Annotations-Proposal#proposed-annotation-solution

Thanks Chuck
