Combination of MDI and MDH

I hope you are well. I just worked on a meeting plan and i have try something: Create a mardown document with MDH directly from a folder (that is not the root folder) in MDI. If I do this and use "note to file" at the end of the process, the file is created in the root of the MDI folder and not in the folder where I am in.

Is this the expected behavior?

No.. it works fine if I use copy markdown to new node before using note to file... In this case, the file is created in the right place.
