we need a user-friendly UI for editing tracks.

how much detail does this need to have? should you be able to change all of the goose values? (probably)
what about the details of a tracksource - probably not? rather just allow the user to give us a new platform specific track ID and we'll fetch the details for it ourselves?

federate button to attempt automatic fetch of other relevant track sources?
