Default Identity provider on an application

Problem

Some external off the shelf websites builders like Microsoft PowerPages do not allow for setting a idp_hint parameter on an authentication. By not being able to set this users end up at the FusionAuth login form instead of being redirected to an external identity provider.

Solution

Add a new field to an application allowing users of the application to be redirected to the specified external identity provider, even if the idp_hint is not specified.

Alternatives/workarounds

Using a proxy which is used between FusionAuth and website.
