Your Expectation

I was trying to use sky blocks to decorate my ceiling, so i placed one expecting it to show the sky in a normal way. I had used them in 2.6.1 as well and had no issues with them.

The Reality

Almost the entire screen got covered in the render as if I was standing in void, except for a strip on the horizon still showing the world normally. The first picture is before enabling the sky block, and the second one is after. Same issue occurs with the inverted version. I also noticed this issue occurs only when the block is in the field of view and not when my back is facing the block. However, even if there is a wall between the block and the player, the issue still occurs.

Note: I have no additional mods installed and haven't updated/changed the mods myself. Only render changing mod installed is angelica and no shaders are active.

Your Proposal

The render issue should be fixed

Final Checklist

  • I have searched this issue tracker and there is nothing similar already. Posting on a closed issue saying the bug still exists will prompt us to investigate and reopen it once we confirm your report.
  • I can reproduce this problem consistently by follow the exact steps I described above, or this does not need reproducing, e.g. recipe loophole.
  • I have asked other people and they confirm they also have this problem by follow the exact steps I described above, or this does not need reproducing, e.g. recipe loophole.
