What happened?

Vehicles that are waterlogged (Destroyed by water entering the engine) seemingly cannot be fetched by the insurance, even though on the Wiki it reads in relation to Insurance:

"If your car has broken down/de-spawned/been stolen and not returned/been put underwater etc., anything that doesn't involve your car being impounded or stored in a garage will result in the vehicle going into insurance. You can retrieve the vehicle at any time for a percentage of the vehicle's stock value."

Expected result

Be able to pull the waterlogged vehicle out of insurance after paying the premium.

Reproduction steps

  1. Take vehicle.
  2. Put vehicle into body of water until the engine dies and is no longer operable.
  3. Go to insurance
  4. Attempt to reclaim same vehicle from insurance

Importancy

Medium

Additional information

At the moment, if your vehicle is waterlogged in a highpop area (Docks, for example), then there will be little to no chance of it despawning, meaning it is completely lost until the next wipe occurs under the current operations of insurance.

There's no smart way around this, we can't differentiate between a vehicle being destroyed/active/waterlogged, so the problem being is we don't want to duplicate vehicles hence the reason why insurance still detects it as being active in the water.

I'll come back to this again once I've had some sleep.

Re-reading this, the wiki is right if you read the line again.

As I said we can't determine and likely won't fix this for the time being.
