It's kinda similar to Bobby - it also allows rendering greater distances but the way it accomplishes this is more complex. Do you think your mod could borrow some functionality from FP2?

Mod for 1 12 2 is no use then
I tested it 1 17 1 gave me the best result on the same hardware
than 1 12 2 for 32 chunks
1.12.2 Lod mod 30 fps
1.17.1 60 fps v-sync
