In my experience, in english texts there's quite often singular upper case I's used, and very seldom the | character is used. Still Frog often thinks I is |.
For example in this image if there's "I'm", that's fine, but every single instance of "I" is transcribed as "|"
I hope this is something you can look into.
If it's really difficult to fix, I think a workable short term/temporary solution could be to just blacklist |. That is obiviously not ideal, but the difference between how often these characters are actually used is so overwhelming, that I think making people manually switch I to | when it should be | is much better than to make people manually switch | to I when it should be I.
