Meta: Email distribution list

We are currently relying on individual emails beings passed around for the invites.

Could we create a distribution list so that it's easier to manage subscriptions?

We need a mail-server for OSDM.

For a (private project) newsletter we're using the free version of MailChimp. Other recommendations from friends include RapidMail.

Bileto also uses MailChimp, e.g. to mail to people signed up for the sandbox. The main issue here is that there must be an ofic. entity to maintain the personal data (names, emails) and that entity should probably be affiliated with OSDM project itself.
