OpenMPTCPRouter on Teltonika RUTM50 vs. RUTX50?

Hello,

I've been tinkering with OpenMPTCPRouter for the past few days and have a working client running on VirtualBox and connected to a VPS. Thanks to all the community support and Yannick!

Now it's time for me to implement on some real hardware. I see firmware and support available for a Teltonika RUTX50, but I only have access to a RUTM50 since I'm in the states. Does anyone know if the firmware will work on either device? Has anyone tried it?

I'm limited in my router options as this will be deployed on an outdoor vehicle prototype, so the router needs to be somewhat industrialized which seems to be where Teltonika shines. The operating temps alone seem to eliminate just about every other option compatible with OpenMPTCPRouter besides maybe a custom build with a Pi board, but that seems like more work than I'm interested in doing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I don't know if RUTM50 is same as RUTX50, but in all case it's a really slow CPU... MediaTek, Dual-Core, 880 MHz, MIPS1004Kc, already in RUTM08...

Yea...unfortunately I don't have too many options for my specific use case.

I did see a similar discussion topic where you stated "You will have to add missing kernel patches/dts/... from RUTOS to OpenMPTCProuter and make all necessary changes." since the router runs on kernel 5.1. Not sure how complicated that is to do as I'm pretty new to embedded linux systems, but I may look a little deeper into that. Any chance you have any guides on this?
