node.js example is not working: Error: Non-whitespace before first tag. #97

hi

i tried the sample of JS. I've entered my ID and password, and grabbed a JPG file as input. i get this in the console:

C:\...>node test.js
ABBYY Cloud OCR SDK Sample for Node.js
Uploading image..
Error: Non-whitespace before first tag.
Line: 0
Column: 1
Char: T

what am I missing?
node version v12.16.1
