Just a suggestion...

add: -tc FFFFFF Number text color
-fc 0F0F0F Flap color
-bc 000000 Background color

As changing the color variables FONT_COLOR and BACKGROUND_COLOR in gluqlo.c doesn't seem to work as one would expect.
