Would it be possible to add a customization option so the 'Buffer no longer exists' user-error is not signalled? #14

Personally, I find the Buffer no longer exists user-error rather irritating when browsing via dogears-back and dogears-forward because I work with temporary Org Src buffers a lot which are killed.

Could there be a new option so instead of signaling the user-error, it just jumps to the next proper location where the buffer is alive?

Yes, this seems like a good idea. Thanks.
