SST probe error #17

Unfortunately I have been having no time to continue SST enabling. What I heard is there is an activity to bring SOF (Sound Open Firmware) support to the drivers soon. It will change the driver structure as well. The best people to ask are Liam and Pierre from Intel who are doing ASoC stuff. (You may find them in alsa-devel@ mailing list) P.S. And no, ACPI branch has no bits for SST. It would be really helpful if someone can eventually help with SST enabling. (I have even RT5640 codec daughter board on my table for half a year, but... no time to accomplish) |

By the way I would recommend to find most closest hardware (laptop) and acquire DSDT table from it. Then some bits can be used to create an excerpt for Merrifield (ASuS T100 or alike perhaps). |

Mimic the pre-existing ACPI and Device Tree event log behavior by not creating the binary_bios_measurements file when the EFI TPM event log is empty. Upon a read of the binary_bios_measurements file, the tpm2_bios_measurements_start() function does not perform a ZERO_OR_NULL_PTR() check on the bios_event_log pointer before dereferencing it. Rather than add a ZERO_OR_NULL_PTR() check in functions that make use of the bios_event_log pointer, simply avoid creating the binary_bios_measurements_file as is done in other event log retrieval backends. Explicitly ignore all of the events in the final event log when the main event log is empty. The list of events in the final event log cannot be accurately parsed without referring to the first event in the main event log (the event log header) so the final event log is useless in such a situation. This fix is for a failure that occurred in the DWARF unwind perf test. Stack unwinders may probe memory when looking for frames. Memory sanitizer will poison and track uninitialized memory on the stack, and on the heap if the value is copied to the heap. This can lead to false memory sanitizer failures for the use of an uninitialized value. Avoid this problem by removing the poison on the copied stack. When creating ceq_0 during probing irdma, cqp.sc_cqp will be sent as a cqp_request to cqp->sc_cqp.sq_ring. If the request is pending when removing the irdma driver or unplugging its aux device, cqp.sc_cqp will be dereferenced as wrong struct in irdma_free_pending_cqp_request(). vhost_worker will call tun call backs to receive packets. If too many illegal packets arrives, tun_do_read will keep dumping packet contents. When console is enabled, it will costs much more cpu time to dump packet and soft lockup will be detected. net_ratelimit mechanism can be used to limit the dumping rate. the kernel tries to probe the SST PCI deviceintel_sst_probe
, but fails insst_context_init
because platform data (pdata
) is not set in the driver context. I guess, this needs to be done by a platform driver (sst-mfld-platform-pcm maybe?) or by a SFI driver (matchingmrfld_sst
) perhaps. I see that the platform data is being set in sst_acpi.c but as of now I am running a non-ACPI u-boot. Is this resolved with u-boot from the acpi branch? Or where's the appropriate spot to set the platform data?
