6FF1: Take out your battery, open up the back plate with 2 screws, remove the bios battery (yellow or black, coin-cell battery with red and black wire, near the hdd) then plug in to ac, boot to bios with spamming f2, enter the password from here

and press ctrl+enter.

hello, no luck, it always says the password is incorrect. I get the password from DELL and it's the same as the generated password by this tool. It's killing me now.

In case you're using a non-QWERTY keyboard try using "y" instead of "z".
Also make sure you hold down the CTRL key while you confirm the password with ENTER.

For a DAL 7480 you do not have any CMOS cell :-(
Any other code for a
Dell Latitude 7480
Bios 1.8.2
HW45PN2-6FF1

Code provided by App doesn't work ( CRTL ENTER, AZERTY=> QWERTY conversion)

Thanks

Someone in another post suggested replacing 6FF1 with BF97 when getting the "password incorrect" message. I tested this method on my Dell Latitude e7270 that has a 6FF1 code that would give an error when using the generated password and it worked! Try it and let us know. In your case try [9NBN6q52zkUx1s0

DELL XPS 13 9730 azerty. Codes are not working.
As system number I tried both : DNJNPV2-6FF1 and DNJNPV2-BF97
The codes I got from are not working, even if I convert them from Qwerty to Azerty it doesn't seem to work at all..

Any Idea?....

I would try an external Qwerty keyboard.

Trying with Qwerty conversion does the same for me on a latitude 7370 but replacing 6FF1 with BF97 does the trick (still you must convert to qwerty keyboard) THANKS A LOT
