is there a way to disable the showing of hidden buffs? like warrior stances etc.

You can use a buff bar addon with a blacklist feature (I can't think of any specific names), or make one yourself

There should be an option to disable this, not very useful.
Does anyone know of an addon to hide those buffs?

FWIW, I really like the hidden auras showing as buffs. If you make a change to hide these, please allow for an option :)

Also, since this is my first comment on this project - thanks balake for all the work on this one (and all your other addons/improvements)!

I'd also like a way to hide these. I don't need to see a "Finding Herbs" buff when I have a big icon on my minimap, too. :P
