to set up your working environment: -install Java JDK: https://www.oracle.com/java/technologies/javase/javase-jdk8-downloads.html

-install NetBeans: https://netbeans.apache.org/download/index.html

-install MySQL: https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/installer/

-install tomcat server: https://tomcat.apache.org/download-80.cgi

-create the database, the script can be found at this folder: /database/payroll.sql

-set your database info to your project, the file can be found here: src/java/resources/config.properties

-to open the project, start the NetBeans, and from the main navigation menu, go to File , choose the option Open Project, and then Select the project folder from your local machine.

-to log in using a user account, use the following combination from the tables(Employee, accountant):

Username: id

Password: id_dob (date of birth)

example of an employee:
