Bug: Crash with latest MOTU Driver on BigSur/Monterey #612
Comments
I was the aforementioned Dan in the previous thread. I will put the driver back on and generate some reports when I get the chance. As was pointed out to me in a conversation with MOTU, if you remove the extension from the application folder after turning off the MOTU device you can drag and drop the extension to the trash and restart. There may be a pop up request. |

I'll add my crash report just in case it's useful. I can run eqMac if the my Motu M4 is unplugged but not when it is plugged in. Describe the bug
A couple people have reported that eqMac crashes on Big Sur and Monterey with MOTU's drivers above version 88339
For people that are still on Big Sur or lower apparently you can download the driver version 87935 from here:
https://motu.com/en-us/download-center/download/47
or here:
https://motu.com/en-us/download/product/408/?platform_family=mac&download_type=driver&version=all#47
And it should fix the issue, however seems like there's no solution for Monterey at the moment.
I will try to play around with the driver at some point but I don't have an actual device to test on, would be helpful for people to provide crash report of either the MOTU Driver or eqMac (whichever occurs)
