Please explain (not to me, but in the README) your solution opposed to a proxy solution. Since Apache 2.4.5 there is a wstunnel module: http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/mod/mod_proxy_wstunnel.html

test: lock Twisted to 16.5

...due to issue disconnect#31, which doesn't look like it has a resolution yet
upstream.

Since 16.5 is a really old version of Twisted, this is a problem. Might
have to switch to asyncio during the Python 3 move.
