These scripts show how to do calculations in a bash:

* script4.sh: do an addition using expr and fixed values as set in the
  code

* script5.sh: do an addition using expr and three parameters as given on
  the command line
  example call: ./script5.sh 3 4 5

* script6.sh: do an addition using expr, and a for loop working with
  as many parameters as given on the command line
  example call: ./script6.sh 3 4 5

* script7.sh: do an addition using expr, and a for loop working with
  as many parameters as given on the command line
  example call: ./script7.sh 3 4 5
