I have the Modern (Large) toolbar enabled. When I use apps like Facebook and Twitter, I see the default status bar instead of the modern default status bar with today’s date. In prior versions, I had this enabled and I was able to see the modern default status bar in non-Apple apps.

Also one more thing, how do you stop the home indicator from fading away?
