How do we organize the  ess/doc/ directory ?

	  ess.dvi	[DVI -> PostScript]
	  readme.dvi

	  ess.info*	[Info]
	  readme.info*

	  ./html/*html

	    (note that a third one, announc.texi,
	     is conceptually a subset of readme.texi and
	     is only used to automatically produce ../ANNOUNCE)
