Download and extract the sample materials from here
- Download and install MacTeX (use the complete version)
- Download and install TexStudio
- Download and install JabRef
- Install LaTeX, JabRef, and TexStudio using your system's package manager.
If you are using a University PC with a managed desktop environment, you may already have the tools needed installed. For example, Swansea University has both TexStudio and JabRef available under Specialist Apps > College of Science > Computer Science > LaTeX. These will automatically install the first time you open them on any given computer; it may take a few minutes.
