Tab restore does not work on Arch Linux

I have spent hours looking into online forums and even on discussion area and issue area of this repo to find out if it is just me or ghostty does not support restoring tabs in general under Linux OS. Can someone point to some form of documentation or write up about this behavior. All the issues created so far points to tab restore on MacOS and i have confirmed tab restore functionality works on my mac as well but my daily driver is Arch and so far i could not find a way to make tab restore work in ghostty

According to the documentation, the "save state" feature is currently only supported on macos:

This is currently only supported on macOS. This has no effect on Linux.

Is there a roadmap or timeline for this feature to be available on linux systems? This is a must have for me to fully adopt to ghostty. I love the features tabby terminal brings but it is quite slow and i have hardware limitations.

There is not currently a timeline for this feature as there is no native api for this on linux. The reason it exists is that Mac provides a way to do it. Not saying it wont ever be added to linux but there are challenges to do so
