First of all, it should be noted that this requirement is caused due to the insufficient functionality of ANKI itself and the need to use an additional add-on, such as Add note ID (and the like), where the first field should be Note ID. But while there is no such functionality, we have to come up with workarounds.
As a result, when using such an addon, where the first field should be the Note ID field, the entire panel of graphs and links turns into a set of difficult-to-identify records, since instead of the text content of the previous Front field, the Note ID is now displayed.
In this regard, maybe it would be a good idea to add a new field for the record, the contents of which will be displayed in the graph and links on the record panel? For example, with the name "Front for the graph", which add to the settings of your addon so that the user can name it at will.
Yes, as a result, we will get two identical fields for writing: Front and "Front for graph". But we can't link only to Front field, because for each note type, this Front field may be named differently, which will lead to the fact that your add-on will need to specify the entire set of such fields. I think it's not very convenient.
At the same time, it would be good to provide that if there is no such Front for graph field, then execute the current implemented functionality (scenario) with the Front field.
If you need a more detailed explanation of the situation, I will be happy to answer all your questions.
