issue with samsung tv artefacts and movies stops #43
Comments
I've read your reddit post. So what I've learned is that your files play fine if transcoded or remuxed and bad things somehow connected with audio. Looking at the photos, each problematic file has 6+ audio channels. |
just tried it with a flash drive and it is having the same issue. the strange thing is that it always happen on the same frame and the same way no matter how i try it. i guess it is a problem with the video player on the TV. i have to go down to 1080p 20mb for it to work correctly... above that it will start giving me problems. |
Could you post the media info of the file that works if you lower the quality to "1080p - 20Mbps"? As an experiment, you can try to extract a video track and try it without audio. |

your experiment was right, after removing the audio, it worked correctly of course without sound. so i guess the 6 channels is the problem. what do you think would be my solution for this? i have been looking around to see if i can move from 6 channels to 2, i guess that will fix my issue |
Is the file untouched or did you at some point merge the audio stream from another file? |
It is untouched. |
I have the same problem. I wonder, are there any other solutions to fix it? |
Hello, not sure if this is something you can actually fix or if this is more of the limitations of my samsung tv and if there is not a workaround about this.

this is what is happening to me in jellyfin. i actually tried plex with the same result. i guess disabling the auto play will fix it but that option is not available in jellyfin. this issue is when using auto play. if i do 1080p 20mb it works fine.. here is my post in reddit explaining it
