@bryanlarsen asked how to std.write on stdout and indeed this is not obvious and undocumented. We should improve the situation!

That '' works is in implementation detail, we may want a constant to encode stdio

jkcfg/website#42 addresses this (but won't be merged until 0.4.0, with stdout and stdin symbols, is released).
