when player jumps on slope they kept going up for longer than they should be

when the player jumps on a slope they keep going up for longer than they should be, the jump just feels off, like it shouldn't be able to launch the player so high when you hold a jump when jumping up and forward on a slope. I don't know if this is considered an issue, but it just doesn't feel right.
