The KEA profile keycaps are for Choc V1 switches, and are designed to be FDM printed. They feature a deep dish for a comfortable finger feel, and rounded edges for a stylish look. The keycaps have been designed to be 3D printed, featuring a top and bottom chamfer on the backside to remove overhangs, when printing standing up to increase strength, a bonus being that with small layer heights, the layer lines are almost invisible.
These were specifically designed for split boards that have both MX and Choc compatibility, as most of the time split boards that support MX and Choc switches are spaced for MX keycaps (19.05mm x 19.05mm).
The KW Choc V1 keycaps are the solution to this by adopting the 19.05mm x 19.05mm MX spacing, reducing the gap between Choc keys on MX spaced boards.
You can find the open source files on the Kea Workshop GitHub or Printables.
If you would like to manufacture these keycaps using injection moulding and make them a full fledged product, please contact me as i would love to do this!
