Reason I ask is because my set of ruby scripts work a lot easier if they can just grab a tarball release. While it is possible to use git checkouts, I feel a lot more confident with tarball releases, largely because I am under the assumption that upstream developers make tarball releases better than casual git checkouts. :)

Would it be possible to also distribute tarball-released versions of dumb/libdumb, sort of "stable" versions?
Something similar to https://github.com/wxWidgets/wxWidgets/releases/
