What happened:

I have a DNS entry to fillup, such as kubernetes-dashboard.02.my-fancy-domain.com. I can see that the entry has been created as kubernetes-dashboard.02 into the my-fancy-domain.com

As the server serves directly 02.my-fancy-domain.com, it does not see the entries like kubernetes-dashboard.02 into the base domain to be served, so I'm not getting an answer

What you expected to happen:
It is expected that the entry kubernetes-dashboard is created into 02.my-fancy-domain.com domain.

How to reproduce it (as minimally and precisely as possible):

Provider: PowerDNS
External-DNS installed through Bitnami Helm Chart, Chart version 8.3.7, App version 0.15.0

Anything else we need to know?:

Environment:

  • External-DNS version (use external-dns --version): 0.15.0
  • DNS provider: Powerdns (pdns)
  • Others:
