The kitty keyboard protocol enables improved handling of modifiers, events, repeat, escape handling, etc. Numerous "modern" terminals support it. It would be great if the integrated terminal had it as well.

My specific use case is with the fish shell, which also supports the protocol and therefore allows bindings to Win, Ctrl+Alt, etc.
