3D Model of University of Jilin

In this tutorial, we will talk about a real world use case on how to build a 3D model of a building based on what we have learned in the last tutorial.

User Guide

Steps required to build a 3D model with drones are:

  1. launch Gazebo simulation environment;
  2. takeoff the drone and record a rosbag;
  3. command the drone to fly a circle around a typical building;
  4. land the drone and process images from rosbag;
  5. upload images to provided website.

本讲中,我们将会介绍一个真实世界的无人机使用案例: 通过无人机机载摄像头构建建筑物3D模型。在接下来的部分里,我们会讲解如何基于上一讲的内容实现这一目的。

  1. 实现无人机 3D 建模包括以下5个步骤:
  2. 启动 Gazebo 模拟器;
  3. 起飞无人机并开始录制一个 rosbag;
  4. 控制无人机围绕建筑物绕圆周飞行一圈;
  5. 停止 rosbag 录制并使用提供的脚本提取图片;
  6. 使用提供的网站构建模型(构建模型所需环境配置过于复杂,之后的教程会详细讲解)。
