Since building the current project files *.md to get a final printable PDF is not possible we have to look into how we can do this using something else. (LaTeX maybe)

Look into new gitbook.com and see if we can migrate to it.

The new gitbook has some limitation when it comes down to different media publishing support:

  • Doesn't support pdf export (source)
  • Doesn't allow to edit directly in Markdown (allowed only through the github integration, source)
  • It is not based on versioning (source)

So, nothing that we need from it really. This is weird.
This one cracked me up: instead we store rich JSON data structures. I cannot even imagine writing a book in JSON.
