Every time I am trying to create an image from my VHDs, I get the error “.VHD is already registered with image repository as the resource” in PowerShell. I did not create any image before nor did I find any image with this name in Azure. How do I resolve this?
This usually happen if the user provisioned a VM from this VHD and there is a lock on that VHD. Please check that there is no VM allocated from this VHD. If the error still persist , then please raise a support ticket using this link or from the Publishing portal regarding this (details are given in the answer of question 11).

How do I raise a support ticket for my issue?
Please follow the steps below.

Ensure that you are an Azure Certified partner before raising a support ticket. If not, then please apply to the Azure Certified program using this link.

If you are an approved Azure Certified partner then please login to the Publishing portal using a Microsoft account .If you do not have not have a Microsoft account, you can create one using this link.

Click on the “Get support” link from the menu under username (see the screenshot below).

Select problem type as “VM image Certification” and Category as “Preparing VHDs for the Azure VM Marketplace” and click on the button “Start request”.

Fill in the details and submit the ticket. The support team will help you to resolve the issue.
