User Story:

As the Passport PM
I want to separate phone number verification into a standalone stamp
So that I can create more separation and awareness between Holonym KYC & Zeronym phone verification

Acceptance Criteria

GIVEN a user comes to app.passport.xyz
WHEN they view the dashboard
THEN they have Phone Verification stamp AND a Holonym KYC stamp

tl;dr

  • create a new phone verification stamp
  • move the holonym phone number credential to the new stamp

Create a new stamp called "Phone Verification"
New Provider "Zeronym"
Use Zeronym icon
Stamp should be appear in "Blockchain & Crypto Networks" section

The sidebar should have the following:

(header) Connect to Zeronym by Holonym to verify your phone number.
(body) To add the Phone Verification Stamp to your Passport... Learn more (link to new knowledge base article)

  • Have a smartphone and an Ethereum wallet with $5 in ETH (mainnet, OP, or Aurora), AVAX, or FTM for Phone Verification.
  • Go to Zeronym by Holonym, verify your phone number, and follow prompts to complete Phone Proof.
  • After verification, mint the SBT to your wallet, then link it to your Passport by verifying it.

Open Questions:

  • Can we link directly to phone verification?
  • Can we pop a modal directly without redirecting users to Holonym?

I originally thought that we should have done this from the start, but now I'm not so sure. Both Gov ID and Phone Number are verified via the same page within Silk now, so it kinda makes sense to have them together. Am I missing something around the difference between Holonym and Zeronym that is leading you to want to perform this work?

Interesting to see your recommendation for which section you'd like this in. I'd suggest something different tbh -- possibly even it's own section, or renaming "Social & Professional Platforms" to "Stamps for Crypto Beginners"

I still think we should adopt a tag and filter strategy with Stamps and eliminate the sections, as it will reduce white space in the app and enable us to add additional tags such as "free vs pay" and "level of effort"
