Department of the Interior Data Hub

This is the code repository for the Department of the Interior's Data Hub.

Haven't I seen something like this before?

This project is based on the GSA Open Data Program Template, which is a set of templates and artifacts intended to help organizations bootstrap an open source program.

Forking and contributing

You are more than welcome to contribute to this project, or fork this project and use it to build something else. Also feel free to open issues for suggestions or problems with the DOI Data Hub website. For suggestions or problems with DOI data, data products and data services generally, please use our data feedback Ideascale site.

How to contribute:

  1. Fork this repository to your personal account.
  2. Create a branch and make your changes.
  3. Test the changes locally/in your personal fork.
  4. Submit a pull request to open a discussion about your proposed changes.
  5. We'll talk about it and decide to merge or request additional changes.

Dependencies

  • Jekyll as the rendering and parsing engine, and

  • DOCter as the template and theme
