Description external-dns has normalized a webhook system. With an API compatible webhook system, it would mean that all webhook providers of external-dns would be compatible with phonebook.

multiple providers not working as expected

i have gcore desec, gcore is working, but desec is not. if I create a dnsrecord it should create it on gcore but fail on desec, but it does not, because desec is broken, I think gcore does not even try. ...

Errors should be displayed as events for each of the records

It s good that conditions include the error message, but it s mostly useful when you already know there s an error. EventRecorder should also be used to log those errors as it gives a much better overview ...
