On running audit in chrome, it seems that the gallery thumbnails are taking the longest to load. Can they be made to load asynchronously so that the site can be used before they finish loading?

How about using sprites for gallery?

It would be really good if that was possible, but the images are put using and not background-image property. So how do you indent to use sprites?
