RNA Transcription

Given a DNA strand, return its RNA complement (per RNA transcription).

Both DNA and RNA strands are a sequence of nucleotides.

The four nucleotides found in DNA are adenine (A), cytosine (C), guanine (G) and thymine (T).

The four nucleotides found in RNA are adenine (A), cytosine (C), guanine (G) and uracil (U).

Given a DNA strand, its transcribed RNA strand is formed by replacing each nucleotide with its complement:

  • G -> C
  • C -> G
  • T -> A
  • A -> U

Running the tests

To run the tests, run the command dotnet test from within the exercise directory.

Initially, only the first test will be enabled. This is to encourage you to solve the exercise one step at a time. Once you get the first test passing, remove the Skip property from the next test and work on getting that test passing. Once none of the tests are skipped and they are all passing, you can submit your solution using exercism submit RnaTranscription.cs
