Using a button only MIDI Control pad like Novation LaunchPad mini

Hi,

Very impressive work on this plugin, thank you @rsjaffe !

Before I plunge into deep water and buy a proper MIDI Controller with knobs and sliders, I would like to give the whole setup a go using my son's Novation LaunchPad Mini (I think its MK1). Its a button only (see link below for an image of the device)

Although it will not be as convenient to use a physical linear knob or slider, it would be interesting to setup each column to set values for things like exposure, shadows, highlights and the lite buttons will show current values.

Consider a mode where the 6 lower rows will set values in 1/6 increments between min and max and the top 2 remaining rows can be used to do small adjustment within the 1/6 range.

Is that something doable? As far as I understand, when I press each button, it receive as a separate channel and the value is set to 127, maybe there is a way to modify in a Launchpad utility?
