Are there any plans on updating this bundle for Symfony 4?
I saw there was an PR but it got rejected.

What is missing here to work with version 4?

Well there is no plan to, we need someone enough motivated + has the time to create a PR.

What is missing here to work with version 4?

This should be determined while making the PR.
