Docstring for is_check() (a.k.a. is_selected()) states that True/False will be returned when determining the checked state of a checkbox/radiobutton. However, what actually seems to be returned is either None or the string "true". This is still good enough to distinguish the state, but might want to consider updating the docstring (or updating the code to return a boolean). Thanks.
