Here are a few small ideas that I've thought of that could be added in future versions of NWO after 1.14 for the regions of Greenland, Alaska and Hawaii.
Alaska and Hawaii
Since both Alaska and Hawaii were unincorporated states until 1959 when both of them became states, should the two regions be represented as colonies like other unincorporated territories in 1946 like Puerto Rico and the Northern Mariana Islands with events about their transition to Statehood or should they both stay as states in at the 1946 bookmark. Also while Alaska is too unrealistic to be added in NWO as its own country I guess it is more realistic than lets just say Vermont or California seceding as Alaska is pretty much separated from the main area of the U.S by thousands of kilometres as it a semi enclave.

While from a political point of view Alaska may not have a realistic chance of being a country however from a gameplay point of view it could function in a similar way to the Far Eastern Republic as a buffer state for Russia against the U.S and Canada as if Alaska was independent and was ally or puppet state of either Russia or the Soviet Union it could severely lower the chances of an American attack on Russia's eastern coast given the very close distance between Alaska and Russia.
Before Alaska and Hawaii achieved statehood, both of them were were organised incorporated terriotires of the US meaning that they were part of the US proper and having an organized government authorized by an Organic Act passed by the U.S. Congress, usually consisting of a territorial legislature, territorial governor, and a basic judicial system. To represent this political situation in NWO both Hawaii and Alaska would be colonies however both of the regions will have US cores on them to represent them being part of the US proper.

Greenland
I have only found this out today, apparently in 1946 the U.S tried to buy Greenland from Denmark for 100 million dollars for use as a vital military base in a similar way how Iceland a member of NATO is used as a very strategic geographic position in the Atlantic Ocean even though it had no standing army. However Denmark refused to sell Greenland. I'm not quite sure whether this event is important enough to add into NWO but there are several important events that could be made for Greenland such as the granting of Greenlandic home rule, self government and a possible independence referendum for Greenland in the future.
