However, donations help some of them who have more flexible jobs to spend more time working on FreeCAD. There are also many ideas around FreeCAD for which money is useful, such as participating to CAD-related events, or sponsoring related projects that fortify the FreeCAD ecosystem.

Your donation is handled by the FreeCAD Project Association (FPA), a non-profit association formed by many FreeCAD administrators and core developers, created with the aim of supporting FreeCAD by managing donations in its behalf. By donating to the project, your money will be handled by the FPA and distributed according to its aims, goals and ideas. The FPA page shows how much the project has received, and what has been done with the funds.
