Hi, my name is Dixi Yao. I am currently a PhD student in the University of Toronto. I am currently working on privacy-preserving machine learning over distributed systems. I am excited about seeking for full-stack solutions from software to hardware design to make the distributed systems more secure and trust worthy.
Currently, I am working on three types of open-source projects. First, I am working on open-source softwares and hardwares related to my research, which is around system security and machine learning privacy. For example, Privacy-preserving Split Learning. During my research, I also have developed several useful frameworks for distributed systems such as Federated Learning and Edge-Cloud Computing.
Second, I am active in developing tutorials for machine learning and system designs. I am excited about providing technique tutorials and guides on hot topics such as large language models. For example, the tutorials about Fine-tuning LLMs and LLMs for Academic Writing. I also provide a lot of useful resources and books which will help on your study of computer science.
Third, I am currently active in providing guides and instructions on graduate study, particularly on the PhD study. For example, I have a detailed instructions on how we can prepare a CS PhD application. I am also active in advising students on their applications and how they should prepare for their application and research.
Besides these three topics which I am currently working on, I also post my past projects during my computer study. For example the projects for designing a five-level CPU pipeline and developing a cloud service for application of Solidworks.
If you are interested in my projects, please check my projects on my Github pages. I spent a lot of time on developing these projects and useful resources. As you can freely use them, sponsorship is welcomed.
