A little background; I spent all last week playing AI RPGs on different popular platforms (I didnt know about ai-adventures.steamship.com) and being kind of disappointed. They were all fun at first, but quickly meandered and lost sight of the big picture.
Until I started making my own with ChatGPT. I realized it could be a blast as long as you knew to add structure - I set various milestones for myself and progression indicators etc.
Last week, I decided that this style of play had great potential and I started building my own.
I wanted to build curated stories to keep the LLM on rails with quests, goals, structure (prompt engineering to help it reason and remember), etc.
I had ideas for progression snapshots, achievments, partnerships with authors or IP owners to keep quality high, story credits as rewards for creating popular adventures
When I found ai-adventures.steamship.com today, I though "Shit, this is exactly what I am building"
Only, it seems like investment in this has stopped.
So, I'm curious: is there any future for AI-Adventure or did it serve primarily as a passion project to prove your steamship.com platform? Is there any hope of re-invigorating the project, and if so, what would it take?
