Would be nice for content editors who use the userbar to somehow directly view the to be translated pages. With a hook (http://docs.wagtail.io/en/v1.7/reference/hooks.html?highlight=userbar#construct-wagtail-userbar).

Good idea, but how will we determine the difference between the to be translated pages and already translated pages when we have a synchronized tree? For a freeform tree this could be a nice addition!

Think this only applies for synchronized trees, as non-synchronized also doesn't support linkage / canonicals. There is no way to detect the translatable page?

I think this would be a nice add-on but it also requires a little more thought if we would have to take translator workflows (#7) in consideration.

The switching of the language would be relevant if there is a reference to a canonical page (synchronized-tree). Not completely sure if this is also can be the case for non-synchronized trees? (@mikedingjan)

pages in non-synchronized trees also have canonical pages if you use the translate into button in the admin docs
