After using the dark mode editor for some time, it suddenly started making my unity icons blurry. I had to restart unity and had to change it back to light mode to fix it.
Version: 2019.3.12f1.

Enabling the dark theme is a one-time operation (as you can see in the code), so it is unlikely that your "sudden blurry icons after some time" symptom could be related to this. Anyway we can investigate the issue. Can you provide some more info? Your system config? Some screenshots maybe? Thanks.

Here's a screenshot of the problem. Basically, Unity crashed after sometime for other reasons, and when I restarted it, this happend.

For how long have you been using the dark theme?

Around three days. I staryed with a 2020 alpha but that messed up the editor with same problem and it became unusable. I downgraded to the 2019.3 version and it worked perfectly up until today. I've used it for around 10 hours a day.

I am seeing bad pixellation of icons on an ultrawide monitor (3840x1600) running off a MacBook Pro. Removing the package fixes it. Is there another theme that is being missed for high res displays?
