.SH DESCRIPTION
The function
.BR daos_pool_connect ()
makes a pool available to the calling process. The pool must already exist;
the caller identifies it by supplying its
.I uuid
identifier. The
.I grp
parameter identifies the group of servers that manage the pool and are
physically attached to the underlying pool storage. The
.I svc
parameter I really don't get why this is supplied to connect.
.I flags
determines the type of access the process will have to the pool, such as
read, read/write, etc. The DAOS_PC_* bit flags are used to set these values.
Upon success,
.I poh
is set to a handle that is used in subsequent calls that take the pool as a
parameter. The
.I info
parameter contains details about the pool. The
.I ev
parameter determines whether the call is synchronous or asynchronous. If the
caller supplies NULL, the call will block until complete. If an event
structure is supplied the call will return immediately and the event is
used to track the completion status.
.SH RETURN VALUE
The function
.BR daos_pool_connect ()
returns zero on success or an error number upon error.
.SH ERRORS
.TP
.B DER_INVAL
One or more of the caller supplied method parameters is invalid.
